Meghraj Singh (Founder)
Meghraj Singh is the founder of The Jawai Safari and a native of the legendary Jawai region of Rajasthan. Born and raised on this land, Meghraj comes from a family whose forefathers have lived here for generations, sharing the rocky hills and grasslands with wildlife long before Jawai became known to the world.
Jawai is famous for its rare and peaceful coexistence between leopards and local shepherd communities — a balance that Meghraj has witnessed since childhood. Growing up among pastoral life, granite hills, and free-roaming leopards, he developed a deep respect for nature and an intimate understanding of the landscape, animal behaviour, and local traditions.
In 2011, Meghraj Singh founded The Jawai Safari with a clear vision: to offer authentic, responsible wildlife experiences while preserving the harmony between humans and nature. Unlike commercial safaris, his approach is deeply personal — rooted in local knowledge, patience, and respect for wildlife rather than chasing sightings. As a founder and guide, Meghraj personally ensures that every safari reflects the true spirit of Jawai. His deep tracking skills, understanding of leopard territories, and close relationships with local communities allow guests to experience Jawai in a way that is natural, ethical, and unforgettable.
